The weather was overcast and breezy -- not too conducive to photography. Nevertheless, with sometimes heavy photo editing the results should give you a very good record of the further beauty and excitement we had this day, windinng up in the elaborately beautiful St. Steven's Cathedral with it's magnificant west pipe organ.

I was out on the Danube not long after sunrise.

It was still dark and overcast at about 9:30 am, and few were on deck.

First action was this family braving the weather to have fun from this long boat.

After seeing so many churches in Germany, I started photographing them.

Another, but with popular twin towers topped with onion-and-spike domes.
This may have been influenced by the magnificant St. Stepnen's Cathedral, which has three green onion-domed towers.

Churches galore, surrounding St. Stephens -- too bad about the severe overcast, which I compensated in part with photo editing.

Mary, with tour radio and ear bud, listens to a woman introduce procedures for our walking tour.

Clock time confirmed that I forgot to set my camera 10 hours ahead.

Passau is prone to flooding, as recorded over centuries here.

St. Stephens from the aspe and alter end; two of the three green onion domes in view.

Inside view of alter at far end, taken from outside in previous photo.
It's difficult to capture the elaborate interior with a few photos.

A bit of its cherub angels and paintings.

A great deal more on the columns, arches and domes.

One of the domes

The main west organ, largest in the world until recently, for instance Wanamaker's organ in the USA.
This current organ has 17,774 pipes and 233 registers, all of which can be played with the five-manual
general console in the gallery. Hear Xaver Varnus play Bach's Toccata & Fugue in the Berliner Dom.
