This section of the river is dominated by vinyards and castles (some 40 castles in the region). |
The day was overcast and dark, so what castles I captured were with heavy photo editing. |
A full-blown church is tucked in next to this castle, so it may still be occupied. |

The castles here were built for ruling overlords. The castle to come in Braubach is a Fortress, built to defend the river. |
