Dave and Micki and grandchildren Nik and Courtney came up to make a wonderful Easter weekend with us. We did so many things and took so many pictures that I didn't have time to post them 'till now.
Easter morning began early when the excited kids searched the house for their easter baskets. I don't know how Mary was able to hide them because they were almost as big as the kids. Each basket was heaped with toys. I was too busy taking pictures to notice if there was any candy in them. I hope not, because the easter egg hunt was yet to come, with pounds of candy.
Things settled down after all the presents were opened, but for a while it was more like Christmas than Easter. Mary buys for Easter like most people buy for Christmas -- and then goes really berserk at Christmas. While the kids were opening their last presents Mary cooked up bacon and pancakes for breakfast. Then she and Micki hid eggs in the yard and the Easter egg hunt was on. The hunt is described on the next web page.
After the egg hunt we drove to the South Yuba River at Bridgeport to hike along the river and enjoy the spring flowers, as described on the third web page. In late afternoon Nik piloted some of us around the lake while Mary cooked diner. A couple pictures of the boat ride are at the end of the present page. Courtney decorated her cookies (last picture here) just before Dave and family left on their return trip to Milpitas.
