Visit with Harry & Carol Pagels
Greetings, and trip to Peace Arch Park -- Page 1 of 2

This was the year for a trek to Bellingham, WA, to visit Mary's Pagels clan -- our previous visit was in summer 2005.  We packed into Harry and Carol's bedroom/art studio and stayed for ten days, the last two unplanned because our car broke down less than 10 miles on our way back home.  It was a wonderful ten days, in part because Harry and Carol have been so busy with weddings and so on this year that this was the first week in ages they had taken some time to enjoy beautiful Bellingham and surrounding sights.

Only hours after our arrival we were all on the Pagels' patio enjoying drinks.

As usual, China was our constant companion throughout the visit.

Herb and Mary were obviously enjoying their first hours in Bellingham.

... especially Mary!

At 9 a.m. the next morning we joined Herbie, Otto, and Vern at IHOP.
"The Boys" still eat there three or four mornings a week.

Herbie had a stunned look in Harry's picture as well.

Harry also took this closer shot of Herb, Mary and Carol.
I still had my too-long hair, which Harry cut the next day.

Then we were off to Peace Arch Park on the U.S. - Canada border.
This "Twisted Halo" is by Ulrich Pakker.

Lynn Bachus & Steve Bachus had several of their sculptures on display.

This red man is by Jack Howard-Potter.

Lynn Bachus and Boaz Bachus carved a multitude of fish into this tree stump.

More of the fish from another angle.

Another view, showing more of the fish on the left in the above picture.
