Pictures around Harry and Carol's Home,
plus a few shots on the Sunday, August 3 of the
Grand Finale of our visit with Hal and Barbara Stilson

Posted August 13, 2008

These pictures don't fit in with the event-based sorting so I just add them here.

Some of Carol's front garden.  Harry said it was even more full and brilliant a few days before we arrived.

Another shot from a few steps down the path

Now come four shots I took during evening cocktails on their rear patio

On the morning we left the Stilsons for our two-day trip home, they treated us to breakfast at Salish Lodge on Route 18 about 20 miles from their home in Issaquah.  It was the most exquisite breakfast we've ever had, in a private booth overlooking the river above this beautiful waterfall.  You can see the lodge at upper left in this picture.  The fog is from the spray when the falls hit the river below.

We viewed the falls after breakfast from this overhanging gazebo (Barbara, Hal, and Mary are the three at right in this picture).

Closer view of the upper part of the falls at an instant when the spray blew to one side
