The weather was windy throughout our stay, but was reasonably calm (with one exception, to come) in the morning until about 10:30, and then calmed down again in the late afternoon.  Therefore, on days when we didn't get together for a barbeque dinner for the 14 of us we met at the beach for an evening swim just before sunset.  When we returned from our Iao Valley trip, Craig called around and invited us to the beach for some margaritas he'd prepared.  It may not always seem so, but the pictures below were taken in the order presented.

Beach and glowing sky with north Maui in the right
background, just as as Mary and I arrived.

Craig and Jodie were there to greet us with margaritas.
Illumination is better with the glowing sky behind me.

Dave, Nik and Craig survey the ocean.

Nik and Courtney head to the water with boogie boards.

Courtney and Nik enter the water, illuminated by flash fill.

Nik and Courtney are in the water while Maddie watches from the sand.

Nik and Courtney ride a wave while Maddie watches (natural light again).

Meanwhile, Jodie and Dave watch from their chairs.

This was Tuesday evening.  The following morning we all got up early and had our separate breakfasts before meeting at the Kihei Boat Launch at 7:15 a.m. to board a giant Zodiac for snorkeling at the Molokini Crater.  This turned out to be more of an adventure than we planned.
