"I want to thank all the
docents who signed up to help with the Fall Festival this year.
Without your help it would not be a success. The weather was
beautiful-sunny and warm. I could not think of a better place to spend
the day. Wagon rides, great music, wonderful food, well attended Ghost
performances in the barn (thank you Glenn Fuller for the special
surprise at the end with Yankee Jim dangling from the old barn
rafter), our restored Shell Gas Station, informative and interesting
Visitor Center, fantastic raffle prizes, so many wonderful children's
activities-games, crafts, pumpkin painting, SYRCL, Audubon, author
Carol Malnor, face painting, worm composting, our blacksmiths
demonstrating all day, and our friendly MC Ranger Don. So please
continue with your docent involvement--tell your friends the park is
not closed and that your support is needed to keep Bridgeport open. I
look forward to seeing all of you at the Spring Festival on Sunday,
April 29th. Please email me any comments or suggestions as I am always
open to improving our wonderful festivals. Thank you!!"
Janine Martin, Festival Coordinator The pictures posted on these three pages make no attempt to include all the above activities, which can be seen on pages for previous years' Fall Festivals. Many of the activities are included, but the photos are simply posted in the chronological order in which they were taken. They highlight visitor participation as I wandered throughout the area next to the Visitor Center, the newly-conserved Kneebone Gas station, music stage, this year's Ghosts Return Presentation in the Historic Barn, and rides in the horse-drawn wagon.
