More comprehensive view of cliff dive area as boats and spectators gather |
Another shot as I climb down the stairs for a closer view of the cliffs |
The diving
supervisor (Dad?) watches as several divers climb the cliff. Two are seen in this picture. |
Five divers are
here: two at the top and three on the face of the cliff. I shudder as they free climb with no safety devices. |
The first diver
takes his plunge. I couldn't get out from behind the lamp because of the crowds. |
Two more divers on their way from even higher. Note the shadow on the cliff of the left diver. |
The final diver does a pike from the very top. |
Back at the
Fairmont Pierre Marques, musicians play while we eat lunch in the Terraza Restaurant. |
Mary that evening,
with our two favorite Fairmont Acapulco Princess waitresses: Maria and Gloria |
A beautiful 180-yard par 3 hole at the Marques course the next morning |
Herb Lindberg and Vickie McVey, a wonderful person (same hole) |
Back for drinks that evening: Duane Mayfield, Larry and Michelle Owen (?) |
Thatched beach umbrellas for locals, with Fairmont Princess buildings in the background. |
Expanse of beach
from the Fairmont Acapulco Princess toward the hill beyond which is Port Marques |
The better restaurant at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess, viewed from the beach sand |
Mary enters the flea market on the beach at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess. |
Prominent sign inside the flea market building (I added the circle and arrow) |
