Coker-Watson Visit -- First and Last Pictures
(Posted on the Internet September 29, 1998)

Val and Sandy Watson, and Bob and Joan Coker, visited us the September 25-27 weekend. The weather forcast was for a warming trend and the beautiful fall days we typically have here in the foothills. But it turned out to be a repeat of the rain we had in June when a Kona Kai gang last visited us. We had a great time but the pictures reflect the gray of the overcast skys.

Friday afternoon shortly after the gang arrived, we went on a pre-diner cruise.
We're bundled up for the cold weather.

Bob Coker and Val Watson killing time in Nevada City while the ladies shop.
This was Sunday morning after the weather got nasty.
They're staying under the awning, out of the drizzle.
I got them to venture out from under the shade (and into the wet)
to get this close-up with better lighting.
This is a snap of a picture in a Nevada City store (I got permission, honest!).
We're considering it to put over our living room mantle.
The hot spot in the center is from my flash. Without the flash
the colors faded out to blues and the picture was fuzzy.
