This is another example of the great things that go on in Nevada City every year. About thirty "soapbox" carts are towed to the top of Nimrod street and then whiz down a few at a time at speeds approaching 45 mph. The more complex carts (e.g., a hot tub, a giant peace sign) compete more for originality than for speed. My camera at the time (June, 2013) wasn't fast enough to capture all the action without blur. Still, it's best to view the show in full screen at up to 1080p. |
