This is the second of two pages, this one of pictures on board Lady Washington.
Aft end of the Lady Washington taken from the dock.  Note the thick wooden rudder.

We were helped aboard amidships by this charming crew member.

View toward aft end just after boarding amidships

Similar view from opposite side of the ship as Carol and Harry look on

Forward view, among maze of rigging lines

The rudder on this ship (seen in top picture above) was
controlled by this simple beam fixed to the top of the rudder.

Forward view from the aft rudder -- the rudder beam is at lower right.

Another forward view

One of the miniature canons used in the mock battles

Another visitor precedes us as we are helped off the ship.
