Presbyterian church in Lombard, Illinois
Lombard was known as Lilac Town because of famous Lilac Park with hundreds of varieties of lilacs. Everyone in the town had lilac bushes in their yards and gardens. The month of May was a wonder of lilac scent and sights. Dot's brother Herbert's daughter Betty Jane was married in this church (see 2_47_03 and nearby pictures), as were Ernest's daughters Vera Jeanne (see 2_46_02) and Charlotte. |
