If Herb is in the picture, Harry took it.

Once over the bridge, we headed to Deception Pass State Park and its beaches, and Cranberry Lake.

Some group had great fun making this structure from driftwood.

While walking between beaches we came across this driftwood dinosaur, sculpted by nature.

Close by was this majestically tangled tree, surrounded by a fence to deter climbers.

Nature's jungle gym -- what a climbing temptation!

Carol climbs among the driftwood to get a foreground for a shot of Deception Pass Bridge.

Harry found this fisherman as a foreground for a great shot of the bridge.
This is also a good view of the half-arch flying abutment.

He also snuck in this nice shot of Mary and me (Herb), which I didn't notice at the time.

... this one of pensive Mary and Carol,

... a great shot of pigeon rocks,

... and this warm, interesting shot of Carol, Mary and Herb among the beach driftwood and grass.
This one I've got to frame and hang in a position of honor in
our house.

Then we settled in for Carol's picnic lunch -- mmm good!

We drove back to Cedar Grove via Chuckanut Drive, where I asked Harry to take this picture.

... and this close-up.  What a photographer!
