Andy and I passed this man and his dog along the river as we headed back to the car.

I'm about to cross this bridge to the parking lot.   (Click for Large)

We then drove to a river and passed fireweed as we hiked a short distance along it.

Then back into the car and on to the 4500-year-old stone circle at Castlerigg.   (Click for Large)

Beautiful as well as historic, Castlerigg is at the top of a gentle, grassy hill
completely surrounded by low mountains.   (Click for Large)
