Andy and I passed this man and his dog along the river as we headed back to the car.

We then drove to a river and passed fireweed as we hiked a short distance along it.

Then back into the car and on to the 4500-year-old stone circle at Castlerigg.   (Click for Large)

Beautiful as well as historic, Castlerigg is at the top of a gentle, grassy hill completely surrounded by low mountains.   (Click for Large)
