Part 3 -- Soil for Planting Areas

Work on Monday, May 23, 2011

Tony and his crew returned to working on our neighbor's garden, took the weekend off, and returned to work on our yard early Monday, May 23.
Four truckloads of soil with fertilizer dumped on our driveway, enough to cover the planting areas 6-inches deep

Tony ready to bring the potting soil to the planting areas.

Tony grabs a bucketful of soil.

Mary watches the process.

First soil has been dropped into the lakefront planting area. Tony and Tom discuss the coming day's work.

Closer view

New bushes and trees planted in neighbor's yard, plumb trees and bushes in the foreground.
Their landscaping has a completely different style (Hawaiian) from what we've planned (English garden).

Our only surviving rhododendron from the kicking onslaught of deer over the years.
This will be moved to one of our garden areas.
